Santa came to visit Jamie!!

Christmas was lots of fun this year. I'm still not really sure what its all about except that there is this big guy in a red suit with lots of white hair that they all seem to call Santa Claus. Mommy made me go see him and sit on his knee and tell him what I wanted for Christmas so I did and guess what... he brought it for me!!! I asked him for Thomas the Choo Choo Train and when I woke up Christmas morning there it was in the middle of the living room!!! I couldn't believe my eyes!! I think I really like this Santa guy ...




I also got lots and lots of fun things for Christmas ... and one of them is this new bike!! Grandma and Grandpa got it for me and I was so excited cause I really wanted one!!! I'm still trying to figure out the feet pedaling thing but I'm sure it will come ... thanks Grandma and Grandpa!!!

Santa also left me this big doggy ... I named him "Doggy"!! I love how big and soft he his and I can even ride him too!!! Thank you Santa!! I can't wait for you to come again next year!!!

Getting Ready for Xmas!!!

I know, I know ... you probably can't believe my Mommy finally is updating my blog. It's been a really long time and boy have I grown up since the summer.

Mommy doesn't know where to start to update everyone so she thought she would start with today!

Today I helped my Mommy put up our Xmas tree ... it was lots of fun!! Here I am helping her put on the lights!!

After Mommy put all of the pretty things on the tree I got to put the star on the very top!!

Here I am playing around with my Santa hat ... Mommy was trying to take a picture of me and I kept running away before she could take my picture... hehehe ... but she finally got me with this one though!!

Then I finally let her take a nice picture of me in front of the Christmas tree ... I'm starting to get all excited for the Christmas stuff Mommy keeps talking about!!

First weekend at the cottage!!

Mommy and Daddy took me to the cottage FINALLY!!! They kept talking about this cottage we have but would never take me so finally we went this past weekend and I LOVED it!!! I got to play outside all day, play in the biggest sandbox I ever did see and splash in a very big pool!!














I loved playing in the sand. Mommy and I got to make big sand castles and she even buried ME in the sand. We had lots of fun together didn't we Mommy?!!?

We also had some friends come by and see us. My friend Megan and her Mommy Jan (Mommys friend from the Mommys Group) were in town visiting from Ottawa (they just moved up there a couple of months ago and we miss them lots!!) so they came over to our cottage to visit and Megan and I got to go down to the beach and play together!!










Here is a picture of Megan and her mommy in the lake swimming. Megan is such a fish ... all she wanted to do was go out to the deep part of the water and swim. She was giving her mommy and my mommy a heart attack every time she would go under but Megan thought it was so much fun. She helped me get over my fear of the water though! It looked like she was having so much fun, I wanted to do the same!! Thanks Megan for teaching me how to swim!! :)









After we got out of the lake we got to lie out in the sun and relax. Ahhhh ... we love the beach Mommy!!!

















After the beach we went back to my cottage and played for a little while before they had to go home. Thank you so much for coming to visit us Megan and Jan. We loved seeing you and we hope to see you guys again soon!!!

Learning to climb!!

Today I was watching my Daddy build our new fence and he was always going up and down this big ladder. Well it looked like alot of fun so Daddy finally showed me how to climb it!!

Here is me almost at the top!! Look Mommy I did it all by myself!!! (or at least I thought I did - Daddy was right behind me in case I fell!!) It was lots of fun though!! I feel like such a big boy now!

Eating Grown Up Food

Well I give my Mommy and Daddy lots of trouble at mealtime because I don't like very many foods ... my favourite thing right now is bread with jam!! Oh well ....

But Mommy has started giving me some adult things to eat and I'm starting to like them more because it makes me feel like I'm a big boy now!






I just started like corn on the cob ... it is very yummy!! This picture might look like I don't like it but I was just being funny for Mommy since she was taking so many pictures of me eating the corn! I ate all my corn and Mommy's and after every bite I would say "Mmmmmm!!!"

I also started liking yogurt (Mommy had to trick me and say it was ice cream) but now I really like it and I just started to learn how to feed myself with a spoon!! Its a little messy but I'll get the hang of it I'm sure!!

This picture is a little old but I love apples and I have to eat the WHOLE thing!! I'm not kiddin' I eat the core and all!! Mommy and Daddy try to take it away from me but I get very upset and will not let them take it away from me ... oh well Mommy thinks its great cause I'm finally eating something other than bread!!!

It was such a fun day and Grandpa (and Grandma) were so surprised. I had lots and lots of fun playing with my cousins and my Aunts and Uncles. All of them live so far away so I don't get to see them very often. Now that they have all gone home I miss them soo much. I hope you all come back soon to play with me again!!

Getting ready for the party!!

Grandpa Lidbetter turned 70 a couple of weeks ago and Mommy and Daddy had a surprise birthday party for hime. We had all my aunts and uncles coming to visit so I thought I would help Mommy do some cleaning.

I really like to Swiffer ... I think thats my favourite ...

... and now that I'm not afraid of the vaccuum anymore I like to help do that as well!!

Mommy hasn't updated my blog for a very long time and boy have I ever grown up since the last pictures. The last update says I was just learning to walk ... well now I RUN all over the place. I sure keep Mommy and Daddy busy!!!

One of my new favorite things to do is to put Mommy or Daddys shoes on and try to walk ... I'm getting pretty good at it now!!













My absolutely favorite things right now are motorcycles, trucks, jeeps, buses, tractors, etc... I'm getting pretty good at saying "motorcylce" now too! One of the reasons why Mommy hasn't updated my blog is that we moved last month and our new street is very, very busy. I could sit outside all day and watch the vehicles go by.
Daddy has a truck and sometimes he lets me play in it. I can't wait to go for a ride in it one day too!!!

Mommy bought me golf clubs the other day. I know my Uncle Mark and my Grandpa really want me to learn how to golf so she thought we better start practising... right now I would probably make for a really great caddy!! I love to push the golf cart around!

Here's a picture of me just sittin' and taking a break in our backyard. All this running around in the summer heat makes me tired but I just rest for one minute and I'm off again ... Mommy promises to put more pictures of me on soon!!

Busy Times!!!!

Look at me - I'm finally walking!!! I think Mommy thought I would never start but did I ever surprise her on Easter Sunday!!! I don't know what made me go but I wanted to give Mommy a toy to play with so off I went to give it to her ...WALKING!!! Grandma Lidbetter and Aunt Carla were there to see it too ... so they all clapped for me ... so of coarse I had to do it again and again for them!!!






I'm still a little shaky on my feet but I've been practising alot over the last few days and I think I'm getting better and better.

But I still prefer to crawl cause it sure takes along time to get to where I'm going when I'm walking!!









Ever since we have had a few nice days all I want to do is play outside ... Mommy and Daddy get tired of chasing me around so they thought they could lock me up in the back of Daddys truck so I wouldn't get away. It was a blast in there!! Here I am playing peek-a-boo with Mommy!!

My other favourite thing to do right now is chase bubbles!! Mommy bought me the bubbles they use at Gymboree and it sure makes lots and lots of bubbles!! I haven't quite figured out yet why I can not hold one in my hand though!!!

After all this walking and playing outside and chasing bubbles all over the house at the end of the day I'm exhausted!! ....

Hopefully morning comes soon so I can start all over again!!
